2007 Citroen C4 2.0D
Having problems starting the car, and now gears changing ok up to 3rd gear but showing 6th gear at 45mph and sounds like it's struggling. Both manually or automatic. Could this just need a new battery or am I wishful thinking?

Re: C4 starting and gear problems
Wishful thinking. It needs a proper diagnostic with a Lexia / Diagbox. As you apparently have the piloted manual gearbox, there can be lots of reasons for odd behaviour - like the control system, the actuators , the ECU or that it needs a calibration.
You need to either take this to your Citroen dealership for a diagnostic or a specialist that knows these systems are they can be expensive to fix. It may be something simple, but that's why it needs a diagnostic with a professional level diagnostic tool. A generic OBD II scanner won't cut it.
