My ac compressor clutch is making a dreadfull noise so will need to be sorted and bypassed for the time being. Could one of you good people please tell me what size belt I need,

You won't get the answer for a bodge belt from service.citroen Marc 
Just get the old belt off Ed and then measure round the pulleys to see what length you need.

There's a few choices on there, depending if it's a Sanden or Delphi compressor...

Marc, he is looking for a short belt that he can thread around the crank, alternator, pump and tensioner, bypassing the noisy compressor pulley.
I think that a search of the forum may answer the question, but there were different arrangements of pulleys over the years, so nothing is certain.

Ok, now I understand what Richard was on about regarding a 'Bodge Belt'
Not very clear from the original post, as I read it that he was going to to a bypass until he got an original new belt. Thanks for the clarification, I won't waste any more time on it.
