My favourite part (after the 19-button steering wheel boss) is how the ashtray is at the perfect height, but the vents are too low to be of any use. 70's design for ya

Mr Regular Cars didn't like the yoke thingy - apparently it's too hard to steer around corners without hitting yourself in the crotch

It's from Cadillac, their $300,000 plus bespoke offering for the very well-heeled.

Apart from replacing the speedo with an abacus, there's very little you could do to make that dash less fussy and complicated. Would it actually be possible to manufacture a car today with such a simple dash ?

Starts up beautifully on the video linked to. Keyless ignition too, simple turn the knob, on comes the red ignition light fire it up, out goes the red light, and up comes the green "essence light".

The Series 1 Citroen C1 dash was about as simple as a modern-day dash could get... And absolutely none the worse for it...
