Steering wheel angle sensor

Car.. 2015 1.6 hdi 8v 115bhp 6 speed aisin full auto.

28k on clock..

Ongoing issue that affects bsi, engine ecu and gearbox ecu no comms on steering angle sensor.

However when I goto calibration or configure it wants to connect to the psa servers and I cant remember the lies I registered with to gain access. Is there any other way to do it. ?

Cars vin is.. VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

I've carried out calibration on plenty of PSA steering angle sensors & not once have i ever been asked to go online to program??

Thats what I cant understand. I have too on mk.1.c5s.. but it just wants to go online then after about 5 cancels it then says configure failiure

Cant even think why it would need to go online for this, it only needs to know where the straight ahead position is.

From memory it's done via the ESP ecu

What version of Diagbox are you running?

If you have later higher versions of DB 8 or DB9 it can try and connect to servers for any sort of configuration, but the Steering Wheel Angle sensor is not generally one of those things.

Yea im aware its in the esp. But is it done in maintenance, fault finding or repair sections...
