2006 c1 Handle

Unread post by matty1626 »

I have a 2006 Citroen c1 i was going to check the oil level. When i pulled the bonnet release handle it snapped in my hand. Can i buy just the handle or is it a complete kit, handle and cable. Is it gonna be a trip to the Citroen dealer or is there somewhere else i can get it.

These are bespoke, so breakers yard or dealer and they are a complete unit handle and cable.

Hi Matt, the C1, 107 and Toyota Aygo are basically the same car with cosmetic / trim / equipment differences.

The first generation C1 and 107 used the same part for the manual bonnet release, however the later C1 facelift for C1s built (not registered) from 2nd May 2018 used a different bonnet release cable. so avoid pre 2018 if you are looking for a second hand one.

As far as the Aygo is concerned I can't advise as to whether that uses the same or a different cable.
