Citroen C3 - random beeping

Hello everyone.

I have problem with my C3 2008 1.1.
Car is randomly beeping. When I start the car, during drive (accelerating, braking, cruise speed). Sometimes it's one beep, but it could go up to 4 beeps. Problem is that it is very random, it doesn't happen in same moment (like everytime i accelerating for example etc.).
Also no warning lights on panel. I tried to check speed limiter, but it was turned off. Any idea what it could be?

No, it started randomly. I will have car in service on Friday so we will see if they will find something on diagnostics for example.

Beeping usually indicates a fault but should be accompanied by a warning light. As it isn’t in this case, it suggests a problem with the unit sounding the alarm (it’s called the “BSI body control”).

First, try a sort of reboot; find out how at bba-reman.com. Or ask a Citroën garage. If that fails and a garage thinks the unit is faulty, it can be fixed by firms such as BBA Reman.

It is also possible that a poor connection or intermittent fault is producing the beeps. Causes have included the alarm switch in the bonnet lock and poor contacts to rear-light clusters.

When i had problem with lights, it made single beep after i started car. I think it's probably some faulty sensor or something like that. Car works fine.

It could be a fault relating to the lighting circuit. Unfortunately unless you can get somebody to check if one or more headlamps is going off when the beeps occur, it may be difficult to see.
