Hi.
I'm about to order rear brake pads and discs for 2015 c4 gp .
It's a new job for me and I have diagobox to put the parking brake into service mode.
my question is - Once I have engaged the service mode in the 'pack repair' menu of Diagbox and am about to carry out the physical replacment on the car do I need to turn off the cars ingnition, replace discs & pads , pump the brake pedal , then switched on the car, connect diagbox and go through the parking brake calibration procedure.
OR do i need to leave the cars ingnition on & digbox connected throughout the procedure?
Alternativly can someone point to a guide incorporating Digbox if one exists ? (search did not bring one up as far as i can tell)
Thanks in advance

Once you have put the calipers into service mode, you should turn off the ignition and disconnect the battery to prevent the parking brake re-engaging whilst you are working on the car. The procedure is guided within Diagbox.
If the brake reservoir is at maximum level, you may need to release some fluid using a clean syringe to prevent overflowing.
Never turn / twist the rear motorised caliper pistons, they just need to be pushed back carefully. Once everything is completed, reconnect the battery.
Carry out the rear motorised brake caliper application counter zero reset procedure.
Read and clear the fault codes.
Apply the brakes several times, gently and progressively, with the engine running, before driving the vehicle.

Great, thanks for clearing that up .GiveMeABreak wrote: 19 Sep 2022, 14:00 Once you have put the calipers into service mode, you should turn off the ignition and disconnect the battery to prevent the parking brake re-engaging whilst you are working on the car. One aspect I don't understand fully , once I select the caliper service mode and following that turn cars off the ignition, I would have expected the action of turning the ignition off to engage the parking brake? maybe the service mode overides this?
