Hi all last time on here I had the misfortune of nearly taking a finger off via the savage coil spring. Now my poorly car has decided it won't start. It has always been a good starter.
Anyway I had just driven home from work had to park outside the neighbours house due to a car parked outside my house, I went to move the car a couple of hours later but all she would do was crank over. No faults on the dash board and appears to crank really well. My son came round with his his computer hooked it up as he has before to clear a couple of faults and couldn't find any faults at all. Disconnected the fuel return and cranked plenty of fuel coming through to the filter. So low pressure pump appears OK. Does the 807 hav e a fuel shut off solonoid/switch. If it does please could someone please tell me where the hell peugeot have hidden it. Cambelt was changed at 86000 so don't think that's a problem now at at 134000 but do have a complete kit ready to go. Any pointers would be great.

No inertia switch fitted to the 807 or C8.
Can the diag kit see live data?
Engine RPM
Cam & crank sync
Fuel pressure

Thanks for the reply, No don't think it does my son is bringing a more advanced unit to check. And if that fails I may have to get the pp2000/lexia from ebay to help diagnose it. Always been such a good starter even in the coldest months even though my sons unit says glow plugs not working.

Will the cam crank sync tell me if the cambelt has jumped.

Glow plugs likely to be a red herring, they don't operate to start the car in warmer weather, mine only came on at below -5?C.
They are used during warm up to reduce emissions but are no critical.

Yeah know that so wasn't bothered about them,
I guess the frustration is I only do about 3000 miles a year, and I've just done a trouble free 700 mile trip to Liverpool another trip just a couple of days ago about 70 miles, and then it just don't wanna start damn cars lol.

The belt is unlikely to have jumped a tooth but it could be broken, they don't go with a bang almost just like switching off.
Check that first, if it's ok then it might be low pressure on the fuel rail or the pressure sensor giving false information.
If the belt's good try a blast of easy start down the intake.

Belt not broken but agree with the high pressure rail, didn't think of a blast of easy start, going to grab a tin and try that right now.

heads up on the 807,
good shout on the easy start gibbo2286 started but stopped straight away, tried a second time with a bit of pedal pounding started to run on its own yeah. got lots of air in the clear pipe to the rail.
been starting fine ever since. must have been a pure fluke being parked at a slightly different angle to normal.
going to change the fuel filter and change the "o" rings to see if it cures the air bubbles.
thanks GIBBO2286 your shout made my day.

If your car has a squeeze bulb bleeder check that carefully for perished rubber, a common fault for air in the system.

The bulb looks pretty good and was rock solid when squeezed. If the "o" rings don't stop the air ingress I will bypass the bulb to see if it's that
