A good exercise, my only unused offering was from a day trip a few weeks ago to Broadstairs: V is for Viking Bay:

I lied, I did have one other offering but it was from last year and a slight stretch of the rules:
Q is for Queen's House

Noticed Citrojim had joined the throng this afternoon so I let the random hand dig up one of his tens of thousands of posts. It chose this one from Jim's early days from page 2623 out of 2631.

So if anyone still has a Xantia, or has had a Xantia how about putting a picture of it up on POTD on this very day. 100 points for the first (original photos only please) who isn't me!CitroJim wrote: 29 Jun 2005, 00:48 Once you have sampled the delights of a Hydraulic Citroen nothing ever feels quite the same again... I used to drive my Pug 205 in preference to my old 405 but now the Xantia is the car of choice on every occasion. The poor old Pug is relegated to fun car for when I feel the need to let off a bit of steam, get a crazy smile on my face, shake my eyeballs out of their sockets and recall just what a brilliant car the Xantia is after driving it so much it becomes ordinary.

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
This is the train that traveled on the first electrified line in Romania - unrestored and restored. It was a short, narrow gauge line between Arad and Podgoria, it was using 1500V DC, that is highly unusual. While this was considered a standard railway back in the day, the track is now part of the Arad's tram network that is narrow gauge but now working at a more standard 750V DC. The old trains can still work on this line but not at full power. Unfortunately there are no tours with the vintage trains. They are now heritage objects and are rarely taken out of the shed.
Outside view: The driver's seat is just... unbelievable. Another train, in a bit worse condition. And now the restored one: Some old components: Old Picture set:

As this is the POTD thread, here's one of me in TT racing action a week ago - photos from last night's TT race are not out yet...
And during a Team Time Trial earlier in the summer at RAF Weston on the Green near Bicester
TT racing has become, along with duathlon, something of a specialism of mine...
