Re: Picture(s) of the day....
We did that a couple of years ago and took the narrowboat along the canal through the Zoo to Little Venice, had lunch there and then cruised back for a stroll around Camden Market before boarding the train home. A good day out was had and may go again at some point. I am familiar with Camden anyway from my working days with an office above Euston Station, we used to take in Camden hostelrys for after work gatherings!!
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

Planted a load of anti-slug plants, some of them like this, whatever it is.
Now stripped back to nothing, by the well-fed slugs
Barely visible.
Shrooms:

"To undo the undoable nut
To drink tea and ponder from afar
To try when your arms are too weary
To replace the unreplaceable part
This is my quest,
To undo that stuck nut
No matter how hopeless,
No matter how ferrr..f...f....laming tight.
To fight with the Mole grips
Without question or pause,
To be willing to beat it
Into hell for an inexpensive cause.
And the world will be better for this
And one man, sore and covered with scars
Still strove with his last ounce of courage
To undo the undoable nut
To replace the unreplaceable hose"

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Planted some seedlings out last night to replace the ones slurped up by the slugs.
Most surrounded with sand, some with gravel from the car park when the sand ran out, and one surrounded by two copper coils.
Worked well. Completely gone 12 hours later.

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Don't assume it's slugs - it might be mice or other such pests not playing by the rules !

The remains are mostly covered in slime.
Only seen one mouse here, lived under the shed next door, not seen for a couple of months.

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
New seedlings at dawn always fall prey to birds in our part of the world. Everything we plant now begins life under an upturned plastic crate which gives them a chance of getting established before the beasts can get at them!
Slugs and snails are kept at bay with the copper tape around the crate edge on the ground, works for us!
