C5 suspension faulty

Post by Amarra »

Greetings,
dear people ,I need your help ,once again.
On my C5 (V6 3l HDI) rear suspension stays low ,can not be raised ,the front looks good.
Hydraulic pump seems to be working (I can hear it) .
A a week ago I noticed that the rear end gets unusually high ,then a popping sound and everything is normal once again.
It that maybe 3-4 times and after that there was no problem.
Today I got a "Suspension Faulty max speed 90km/h" and rear is sunken.
I thought its maybe the hight corrector but I read somewhere on V6 version its fully computer controlled (I do not know if its true) .
I would appreciate any advice or possible solution.
Thanks in advance.

Which C5 are we talking about - C5 MK I, MK II or MK III (X7)?

If it's a MK III then all V6 C5s have an additional suspension computer that shares some of the functions with the integrated suspension ECU in the BHI. There's no real difference as the C5 V6s don't have the AMVAR system used on the C6. The only other difference on the V6 on the MK III is that the height correctors are on each wheel and not on the front and rear axle.

However it sounds like you may have an issue with the rear hydraulic block. You really need to get Diagbox on the vehicle and post up the fault codes. This may be the case if you have any of the following faults: P05E0, C1141 or C1146.
