Re: Fuel Prices
From Fleet News.
Independent fuel stations lead pump price reductions
Never mind crawling around the motorways of the UK as a protest, stop buying as much of the stuff because the price is too high is far more effective.

Re: Fuel Prices
Filled my daughter's C3 up. Didn't try and find the cheapest place, just the closest to where I was.
I failed to look at the prices.
Failed to see what the total was.
Failed to get a receipt.
Distracted by the ugly Bentyaga
Looked on my fuelprices.com email and had inadvertently selected the cheapest in a ten mile radius, even the same company (Sainsburys).
E10: £1.839/L

Re: Fuel Prices
Not sure if this has happened to anyone else
Pulled into the garage diesel £2.05 per litre, as soon as the nozzle went unto the filler the price jumped up to £2.15
So i went into the garage and asked why he did what he just did to be meet with a change of language from English back to Pakistan to which i replied back chodon tumhy, which seemed to make the garage shut his mouth.

"leave you" ?
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

That's what my translation came out as Paul but I simply don't understand the overall scenario!!

Re: Fuel Prices
Perhaps it translates colloquially as a more Anglo-Saxon phrase. Fornicate off perhaps?

Indeed it isn't. And very close to what I posited.

Re: Fuel Prices
Yes I got the same result translating from Bengali so what we need to know Husky is how much was the diesel after that exchange?

Re: Fuel Prices
I didn't bother, i put the nozzle back on the pump , i was watching the attendant doing something to the tills or something connected to the tills the price changed so i went into the shop to ask what his game was he than spoke to me in his lingo so i told him to go fxxx himself in his lingo as taught to me many years ago working on the m25 widening scheme with non english workers whom i did strike up pretty good friendships with .

Re: Fuel Prices
Next time you see this, take a photo of the sign with the price on it and another photo of the price on the pump - send both to Trading Standards and let them investigate.Huskyxantia wrote: 31 Jul 2022, 08:31 Pulled into the garage diesel £2.05 per litre, as soon as the nozzle went unto the filler the price jumped up to £2.15
