Peugeot 3008 (2015) Head Unit not working
I own a 3008 from 2015 and the Head Unit is not working. The radio shows lights on the buttons but the screen on the dashboard is black however it has a backlight which you can see at night, so it's not off. I went to the local Peugeot and they said that the only thing they cant try is a system update otherwise I need to replace the unit. Any thoughts please?

Re: Peugeot 3008 (2015) Head Unit not working
There are 2 possibilities I can think of:
1) There is hardware failure internal to the Head Unit - like chip.
2) The MicroSD card that stores the operating system maps, Jukebox and user data files may have become corrupt. The flash memory wears out eventually as only so many write cycles can be made.
If the MicroSD card has physically failed then a firmware update won't really help as the update will try to overwrite the data and possibly, and where the data can't find any operational NAND memory cells, will result in an update error.
Citroen / Peugeot don't repair these themselves, they send them off the the Clarion Centre for repair a fee (they should be able to give you a cost).
Assuming it is not anything else but the MicroSD card, then there is a tutorial at the beginning of this Thread about replacing the MicroSD card and how to backup your vehicle configuration and user data beforehand / later restoration.
