2016 Berlingo AC blower wiring diagram

Hi all, new to the group. I have seen one or two similar posts, but given the checks already executed, I'm not sure they apply. After starting the car and driving for a bit, I attempted to lower the fan, and the switch seemed to stick. I ultimately got it moving, but the blower now runs constantly on high. I disconnected the blower resistor (expecting this to solve the problem temporarily), but the fan continued to run on high. The only way I have been able to get the fan to stop, is to unplug the harness from the back of the switch on the heater control. Am I correct in thinking that it is not the blower resistor? If it was the blower resistor, I would expect the fan not to run when it was disconnected. Any thoughts? A schematic would certainly help, and very little technical information that is available here is in English
