Can someone please help I have change the heater matrix 2004 berlingo diesel van and I have this one connector I can’t for the life of me see where it connects to., I have placed it here for the photo but might run down towards drivers foot well ?
I have connected everything else and when ignition is switch on everything works except no heater, wipers or main beam.
Any help would be really appreciated.
Sean.

Re: Wiring dash
To me and just from the photo, that looks like it should be connected to the BSI in the passenger glovebox...
If you can provide me with some of the electrical codes on some of the cables in that bundle with the large blue connector at the end, I should be able to identify the wires. Give me the colour of the wire and look on the sleeving - the code is repeated every few inches. Let me have the colour of the wire and the code.
Pop your VIN up as I will need that too.

Re: Wiring dash
Thats the connector for the alarm ECU however i have never yet seen a Berlingo 2 with a factory fitted alarm system, so its likely it was never plugged into anything. The alarm ECU would normally be located behind the glovebox area at the bulkhead so you probably have the routing correct. Dont think this will be related to your issue.
Do all the other exterior lights work OK just not the main beam? Have you touched any wiring in the under bonnet fusebox?
I dont believe there is a connector like that on a VAN/CAN BSI plus the BSI is by the drivers right knee on a Berlingo 2

Re: Wiring dash
Yes all lights working except main beam, wipers and washers and interior heater fan. Just checked and if I hold the lights onto flash the dash display goes off after a few seconds.
Could this maybe need a BSI reset.

Re: Wiring dash
So just looked at this today and this is the alarm wiring for which you don't have fitted on your vehicle so can be ignored, as mentioned above.
8604 Anti Theft Alarm Siren Control
8603: anti-theft alarm cut-off control
8601: Bonnet open info

Re: Wiring dash
Thank you both so much for your help.
I have put the dash and everything back together, connected the battery and still had the same faults,
Then had message came up on display eco- mod. Shut all the doors and bonnet started the engine and now everything back to normal and working.
3days wasted chasing a wire that I could not remember removing and it ended up that computer said no.
Many thanks again it was really appreciated.
