Hello, My aircon system has had a recent recharge. The issues are:
1) After a cold start, the pump clutch disengages by itself after about 30 secs to one minute of operation.
2) The engine cooling fan does not operate when the aircon is switched ON (should it??). And if it should, where is the relay that powers the fan?
3) Have checked all the fuses I can find including those under the under bonnet fuse box (Maxi's?)
4) Today I tested the coolant temperature sensor and it appears to be working (al least it's changing resistance value as it is heated up!)
5) Today the aircon pump engages and disengages at random intervals
6) The car is currently in France and we are experiencing very high ambient temperatures eg +35C. The aircon is very temperamental, works for a bit then stops.
Car is a 2005 1.6 HDi.
