Hi, its my first post here as I'm at a loss of what to do.
So I got a Citroen c4 b7 2012 petrol and the Ac wasn't working since I got it and water pump for window washers wasn't working aswell.
First mechanic that checked it saw that the Engine fuse box has water residue and that the compressor is not engaging because its not getting enough power.
So he recommended changing the fuse box. or clean it with electrical cleaner. I cleaned and the water pump for windows started working but AC still not engaging.
Mechanic informed me that all fuses are OK , and compressor itself is OK, AC system is regased and should work if I replace the fuse box.
Almost a year later now, took it to a new mechanic and they checked it and came up with the same conclusion that Fuses are OK, compressor is OK but not getting enough power.
And Also said that theres is no communication with the "Air conditioning ECU" and informed me that this is a "Dash out job" and I need to take the car to Citroen dealer so they can take out
the dash and replace the "Air conditioning ECU" and re-program it.
I searched the internet for "Air conditioning ECU" for my model and can't find anything about it as it does not have that fancy dual climate control system, its just a plain AC button on the dash
with another control for fan speed.
Today I have replaced the engine fuse box with a brand New one, - same part number. Car started fine, drove around for like 20 mins. but the AC did not come back to life. and Engine got relatively hot but the radiator fan not started - which is suspicious as I remember it always working after long drives.
So I guess my question would be, is there actually "Air conditioning ECU module in citroen c4 b7 ? And has anyone had this type of issue ?
