Just been out in the Civic and expected to have to fill it up, son has been to Scotland again.
He has filled it. I bet he regrets that now

Re: Fuel Prices
I've not used my home charger, been filling up for free at Tesco but I came back from a day out yesterday with the battery reading 15 miles so I plugged it in, cost £7.15 to bring it up to 100% despite the home energy price rises.
Man is, by nature, a lazy beast, he does not need twice encouraging to do nothing.

Re: Fuel Prices
Northumberland on the road rapid Chargers 50kW are charging 35p/kWh and I get about 4.5 miles per kWh. about 8p/mile.
Assuming 10 mile/litre (45mpg) that is 80p/litre petrol/diesel equivalent
Assuming 14 miles/litre (63mpg) that is £1.12/litre petrol/diesel equivalent

Re: Fuel Prices
There is a certain artistic beauty of the ESSO Petrol Station sign against a blue sky, even if you think the price is sky high.

Re: Fuel Prices
A lot of the prices seem to have pegged at 199.9 recently, I wonder if the pumps cannot manage £2? However I went through Peebles yesterday, and the diesel there was £2.029, so their pumps can!!

Re: Fuel Prices
I've made my own petrol price protest and have refused to fuel what appears to be complete inelastic demand for petrol. I cut my petrol mileage for June by a third. Anyone else doing the same?

Re: Fuel Prices
I still maintain a lot of this is blatant profiteering. The supposed 5p a litre duty cut never happened and was a stupid idea - it was never going to work. Most of us in rural areas have no alternative transport options, so we are just sensible by undertaking better planning of journeys and extending the shopping trips every 2-3 weeks now - and roping appointments in on the same days where possible. Our reduction in journeys is more of a protest reaction than an economical one. If there's any lessons to be learned here it's never be reliant on other countries.

Re: Fuel Prices
I drive through Cockfosters to get the tube. BP 199.9 per litre, Texaco 500 metres away 195.9 per litre, diesel prices seem to be going down.

Re: Fuel Prices
The smaller stations are the cheapest, got one here at 185.9 per litre, smaller stations are still selling on old prices because people don't use them so much so ain't buying it at a high price, search those villages the bypass goes around.
