My daughter posted to Berlin with the RAF left a cheese plant for me to look after, when she came back it was just a brown stick.

The Rhododendrons at Etal were providing quite a feast for the bumble bees the brown ones and the stripey-ones

In the background the ubiquitous purple-ey/lilac-ey rhododendron, and in the foreground the more vibrant bright red/deep pink ones, neither colour properly picked up by the camera.

Does anyone have a "North" or "Northern" brick to complete the bricks I have in the compass around my wishing well?

This has pair turned up. Not perfect by any means. One has a good definition of the stamp Northern but has a damaged lip. The other the definition of Northern tails off after "north".

First Hungarian Blue poppies out.

More purple than blue.

Strong breeze so they are unsharp. That's my excuse anyway.
