Post by 99-Bow »

C5 ,1.6 , 2005 model, is it normal to get the Diesel clatter in the interior of the car, my old transit appeared quieter !! Is there anything missing from the rear of the engine bay ? Any advice please ?

I can almost, almost guarantee it will be a loose heat shield. There are several of these around the engine bay, but do check the one at the rear where the exhaust manifold / catalytic converter is. It can sound like a rattle and these work loose - hugely annoying.
