Hello Folks,
Been able to smell an acrid burning smell when driving a 56 plate Citroen Xsara Picasso1.6hdi, so on investigation this weekend i discovered injector number 1 had a build up of carbon around the base that looked like black glass.
After a lot of hassle trying I finally succeeded removing the injector only to find the sleeve was still attached to the Injector due to carbon build up.
Part number 9646510880 is the correct part in this instance.
Does anyone have experience of replacing these sleeves or is it straight forward enough to press in.
Do I need a sealer or adhesive for the base to seal it to prevent oil from accessing to sleeve or is it considered the tube is self sealing once pressed in?
Help or advice would be grateful

Re: Citroen Xsara Picasso 1.6hdi injector sleeve woes!
**Solved**
Purchased replacement sleeve, pressed in sleeve using dud injector and removed the oil that had drained into the piston pot.
Double checked the glow plugs with multi meter whist everything was in kit form. And built it back up like a lego set.
Thank you.
