Was a Mormon town till the 60s/70s I believe, but now full of pubs. Spirella building was a maker of silk tights but during ww2 sent the silk to Irwin, who are still/was based in Letchworth to make parachutes.

The McMullens AK is a nice pint but if I have to pick a favourite from Hertfordshire I'd go for a pint of Sidepocket from the Tring Brewery!! :-D

Also, the first garden city. The Worlds End was filmed in Letchworth and Welwyn garden city. They changed Letchworth cinema into a pub for the film.

I'm thinking the one on the left may be the original hotel before it became The Comet, they had a big fire in the 60's and rebuilt it completely, it looks familiar but I can't nail it in my mind at the moment. On the right are the offices of De Havilland where Bob's Dad used to work before moving to Rolls Royce at Leavesden. :-D

The film on Hatfield also had a couple of establishments sporting the name "Benskins". Watford's finest up until 1959 when taken over by Ind Coope. After a few subsequent acquisitions ownership of the Benskins trademarks currently rests with Carlsberg International AS, Denmark.

Could it be a Watford airport that's long gone? Great song btw.

I'm close to Hatfield, can't think of that building still standing. Shuttleworth, Hendon, Henlow, Knebworth. I'm intrigued
