Driving along when all dash warning lights appear and total loss of power. Pulled to side of road. Eventually restarted and managed to get home with no warning lights showing and car driving as normal.
Turning ignition on now makes the radiator fan run fast but will not crank/start or do anything.
If I happen to turn on ignition and the fan does not run then the car will start with no faults showing !
Any help appreciated

Re: Citroen C5 x7 wont start, radiator fan running
It really needs a proper diagnostic with Diagbox are other professional tool, but obviously some electrical issues, so possibly with the engine fusebox, but this will be guesswork without a diagnostic. When you get that done, pop the fault codes up here with your VIN.

Yep thanks. Unfortunately wont start yet today but will get the codes when it decides it wants to move again.
Re: Citroen C5 x7 wont start, radiator fan running
P2408 Fuel cap sensor/sw circuit
P1351 IDM Input circuit malfunction/ignition coil control circuit high voltage.
Fan is having a rest when ignition is turned on so car will start at the moment.
Any ideas to move forward?
Thanks

Re: Citroen C5 x7 wont start, radiator fan running
Those codes are unfortunately not that helpful P1351 is likely just a failed glow plug or 2 & has probably been in there for a while. P2480 wont cause any starting issues.
The cooling fan running suggests the injection ECU is not powered up or lost comms with the fan unit. I would also be leaning towards the under bonnet fusebox. Would certainly be worth unplugging all the connectors & check for any signs of water ingress or burnt pins.
