petrol : dokkers engine vs peugeot partner's

Post by Fillemon »

Hello,

i'm in for an new 'second hand" buy.

i found two cars:
peugeot partner tepee 1.6vti 98hp 2018 (i think it is the tu5jp4 engine is) / 50k km
dacia dokker 1.6 2019 (i expect it is het k4m 16v) / 40 k km
dacia dokker 1.6 2013 (i expect it is het k4m 16v) / 65k km

both engines have there problems. what would make the most reliable engine and most fuel efficient ? i wanna stay away from small turbocharged ones.
kind regards

Can’t really comment on the Dacias but the TU5 engines are well proven & pretty reliable.
Im a bit dubious of it being a TU5 at this age though. I would avoid the later troublesome BMW engine.
