I have an 08 Dispatch and someone replaced the radio with an aftermarket one. Without the Citroen radio you can't control the display. If anyone knows a way to set the clock so it thinks it is set and doesn't flash, maybe change the language to English as well, that would be nice. But I have a work around for the clock which is to prise out the binacle the display is in and disconnect the display. Reconnect it at exactly midnight and it will show the correct time from then on, although it still flashes, asking you to set the time.
Initially the display had lots of bits of the LCD not working. There is a flexi-plastic connector joining the screen to the PCB and 8-9 tracks through the middle of it had corroded and lost contact. There isn't much you can do about that except get a 2nd hand display.

Re: Setting time on RD4 display when RD4 is not fitted
I think most would just replace the display and get an RD4 back in place. You would need to configure the RD4 / VIN code it and then you would regain control of the display to set options like time.
