well it finally happened , my love affair with Citroens finally came to an end today, no more shall I be fighting to keep a Citroen on the road.
so no further need for this forum unless I need to look something up for a friend.
Im giving a four year old 16000 mile Dacia Duster addblue 1500 diesel a chance which I pick up tomorrow Thursday 19th of May 2022.
The ride in comparison to the C5 Mk2 exclusive is amazing fora sprung car and it will be practical for my hobbies to.
fishing and sailing Radio control model yachts.
Id just like to say a Big Thank you to everyone on the FCF who has helped me along the way, since 2008 I couldn't have done the
Citroen thing without you all, so Thank you everyone.
Citroen Xantia S2 1.9 TD estate 189K soon to be broken for parts Jan 2017 headlamps & radiator fan assembly already spoken for & A 1987 Citroen 2CV6 special just for fun.
New addition Citroen C5 2.0 HDi Exclusive Hatch purchased 09/12/2016 with 83K on the clock.

They seem very popular and up there on reliability, powered by the Renault/Nissan dci engine I believe, and also best tow car in its class if you're into caravaning. .

Pop into the pub from time to time (ie the Off Topic Chat Lounge) and join the country members of the club who have exited French car ownership but still hang around for the craic!

The nationality tag on cars now in any case is a bit past tense. All owned by global companies, and your badged Citroen Peugeot or Renault could be made anywhere in the world and share a platform with a series of other badged models. Innovation in design, quirky "Frenchness"? The Citroen Ami has it but the rest...thing of the past. Dacia is under the Renault wing currently so you have a tenuous link anyway. :-D

I'm a big fan of the Duster.
My wife's on her third and we'll probably have another.
Tough, basic, roomy, comfy-ish family bus that we don't have to worry about or care for particularly.
