Hello friends
When I changed the timing belt kit and tensioners I came across this loosen clamp near the upper engine mount on the passenger side. I never understood where it belongs from and I kept it
I found a photo these days and located this item in the photo, but I still didn't understand how it was fixed
I put it like this because it was the only way I found
I know it sounds silly, but I like these details. Who can confirm if this is correct in a V6 engine, could you please help me?
Sorry to bother you, guys.... but thanks anyway
Regards

Re: Xantia V6 - Just a little help with weird clamp
I don't have a reference available, but it looks wrong to me. I think that the clamp should be holding the injector harness, not the fuel hose.
I will check my Xantia next time I am there.

Yeah... looks weird to me too... but my reference is the picture of the red xantia`s engine bay, and i´ve found this loosen clamp resting right there on the first time
I Found another picture from another engine. The clamp on this one, looks different too
That one maybe?

That looks correct, but I think that the clamp that you have is also fitted and hidden under the main harness. I will probably be visiting my car in about 3 weeks, I will take pictures if it looks original there (it should, as I did the only timing belt change that it has had).

Here are 2 pictures of my Xantia:
And 2 pictures of my XM:
The Xantia has the extra clip, but the XM does not. It looks like the clip may be to hold the hose away from the black steel brace, which the XM does not have (it has a steel engine mount bracket instead (I have no idea why).
