You will almost certainly need to get a DiagBox/Lexia clone. Most generic OBD2 readers cannot 'understand' French cars (but who can?). They are not cheap, but definitely avoid the really cheap ones, as they are missing components that will allow them to talk to most C series Citroens. The Lexia from Easy Diagnostics, while not cheap, will be a complete unit (although you will need a laptop computer, but then (if you want) Easy Diagnostics may be able to supply that as well).
However, there are Forum members who have Lexia equipment and may be willing to help out. Here is the list (but be aware that some have 'gone quiet', so may no longer respond);

If the only fault was the MAF being unplugged, then with it plugged in, the fault error will clear after 5 starts.

I bought a cheap obd reader from toolstation, under£30. I found 2 faults with the air intake, I've cleared them and all is ok so far.

Has anyone tried the Carly one, it has Citroen as one of their "home brands" and can be bought for around 50 euro (with discount cupon) I can only find reviews on it with german cars.. thinking of buying it.
