One a day? The Council have found 365 great things about Staffordshire. Its a bit of a marmite county for one! :-D
Not sure if the 365 days project actually produced one a day but this list shows the months which did receive posts from the general public....apathetic bunch that they are! Still worth a flick through of what they did contribute

https://www.staffordshire.gov.uk/365-St ... onths.aspx

For example 8th August produced some Staffordshire Oatcakes, and a Staffordshire Oatcakes Narrowboat...

To bring Staffordshire to a conclusion can anybody name two famous taylors from the county? :-D

At least I was in the right game. World cup referee in 1974 when the Netherlands much to my disappointment got beaten by Germany. Jack Taylor awarded 2 penalty kicks and with my new found world Cup ball knowledge this ball hit the net on each occasion, and Gerd Muller won the game for the Germans.

Adidas Telstar Spotty Ball, vid starts at 1974 Ball, as ever further balls available on the Trivia Investigation Thread here

Now that's an interesting one. Jack Taylor was born in Wolverhampton which is in the West Midlands county on our map even though it may have been in Staffordshire before the West Midlands came into being!! :-D However I can confirm that that is not the other answer I am looking for and in fact football is the wrong sport!! :-D

On the historic Counties front Wolverhampton Walsall and West Bromwich were all in the Historic County of Staffordshire which is where the 92 come from. To save too much faffing about for the answer on the card a decent clue would be helpful to get it out of the way so the new county can make its appearance!

Indeed I too have been reading the history of Staffordshire before the 1974 changes to metropolitan counties which would make Jack Taylor a valid answer, however you are playing on the wrong wicket!! :-D
