No dash lights and car won’t start

Hi all,

Drove car to daughters this morning and no problems parked up.

Just tried to start it nothing then looked at dash no lights

Heard clicking noise from passenger fuse area likewise heard same noise from engine bay but not so loud.

Unable to access 2nd remote or my tools

Suggestions please

What car are we talking about here?
Doesn’t sound like its anything to do with the remote or immobiliser as you would still get dash lights & signs of life.
Any recent work done?
First checks with limited info or tools would be to check the battery terminals are clean & secure.

I did a battery off left for 30 mins and back on.

Car working will do proper bsi reset tomorrow.

Heavens knows what caused the’ blackout’

It’s the C5 but does anyone have an explanation for the problem

Reading through I'd suggest that the problem was a bad battery terminal connection which has been corrected by you disconnecting and reconnecting it Kenny, my C5 did the same thing to me and removing and refitting the earth terminal cured it.

Never had no lights on the dash, but seen a few Citroen with multiple lights and dials going ballistic as a result of a poor battery Kenny.

When I did a BSI reset this morning I noticed oxidation on large earth lead. Will investigate later getting too cold here again.
