Post by all322 »

Hello

Been eyeing a DS3 1.6 ehdi 16v 115hp 2010 that has milage of 220kkm that is around 140k miles
The belts have been changed and the clutch.
Tried it today and it seemed that temp gauge is not hitting the middle (May be normal according to some people on web)

Looking at the info
DV6C-HR9
Here is the vin
Spoiler: show
VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
In short is this a good buy? How are these motors are they good?

Are there any receipts for refilling the Eolys and/or cleaning/replacing the particle filter (FAP)?

Nope, The car runs fine with a lot of power and does not smoke. I'm just worried I might get the problematic motor.
The car will be used on highways most of the time.

I have to add that i've used a search function for the term DV6C and I'm still confused. As the info goes if it's made after 2011 it must be good engine but then again people talk that DV6C in general is ok but is it ok in this regard 2010 DV6C-HR9. Does turbos here get wrecked and injectors? Also a info I forgot to put in here is the clutch is new but it's vibrating a little.

You've got that a bit backwards the engine is a 9HR, not an HR9.

The 16V DOHC was reduced to 8V in 2011 and only SOHC. It was called the DV6C / DV6D. So the 2010 model you are looking at is the older version that had a lot of issues.

If you can, get one that was built after 2011.

Thank you for clarification. =D>
I will then look at the 2011 or newer models in fact as my budget allows I guess an ordinary c3,c4 or C-Elysée

Despite a seeming downgrade from 16 valves to 8 valves the later engine is much improved. The injectors have stronger (larger) bolts clamping them in and don't have the horrible injector through head design making them much easier to get out if needed.
