Good morning all
Please I need some help
I have a 2008 Citroen C4 1.6 HDI, my interior fan does not come on anymore it just stopped. The AC button green light does not come on neither, I have checked the fuses and I have removed and refitted fitted the fan all looks ok.
All the wires look ok too. I have now removed the unit bellow the radio but it also looks ok. Is there another possible hidden fuse somewhere?
I would apricate some assistance if anyone knows
Thank you and have a great day
regards
Brandon

Re: Cabin Fan not working
My first thoughts are the blower motor control module. These modules control the fan speed. When they fail, it can mean the fan is not working or the fan is constantly on full speed.
The fans usually spin up slowly to the required speed. If the blower motor has condensation or moisture on the bearings which can seize them, it can prevent the motor from getting going due to the initial lower power used to start the motor.
Pop your VIN up so I can see what type of system you have and I might be able to direct you to a similar post on this.

Re: Cabin Fan not working
Ok, so on your C4 you have single Air Conditioning, so the blower control module is different.
You need to remove the front left side passenger footwell trim near the gearbox binnacle to get access to the centre console space. You may need to remove the trim under the glovebox if necessary.
This is the module you are looking for:
It's located just next to the blower motor to the side of the heater matrix pipes as shown. You need to disconnect the connector and turn it counter-clockwise to remove it.

Re: Cabin Fan not working
Morning all
So i have done the following and still no luck.
Fan working 100%
Fan resister 100%
Dash fan switch working perfect.
Check all the fuses all look ok.
Some times while I drive i notice that the green AC light comes on and then when i turn the fan on the light goes off, Seams like a power issue.
Am up in arms please if anyone can give me some more pointers.
Thank you

Re: Cabin Fan not working
May be worth looking at the Maxi Fuses on the relay Protection unit BCP3, but here's a wiring diagram that may help.
8049 : additional air conditioning blower resistor / (that I referenced above)
8050 : blower motor (if separate)
8046 : blower motor resistor (if separated) (this is only for the air heating resistance to help warm the cabin on colder days)
PSF1 is the engine Fuse Box

Re: Cabin Fan not working
Good morning Marc
So I bridged the two wires on the fuse box under the bonnet it the thick white and yellow, I put a 30 amp inline fuse in and all is working as normal.
viewtopic.php?t=70935.
I have two more issues:
Anti pollution fault
ESP fault
Any pointers
Thank you for for all the assistance much appreciated
Regards
Brandon
PS: South Africa guys, are there any Citroen clubs?
