Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
And for me it was the drop down list after the first two guesses on Worldle and struck lucky! Then 3, 4, with as usual not a clue about the heardle!
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
Answers below. The artists are less important than the song title as I'm sure all of these wil have been covered by valid groups or artists at some pointbobins wrote: 17 Mar 2022, 22:12 Pop Quiz
Lines from songs you ought to know.
5 points for the song title, 2 points for any recognisable band that sang it.
Please put your answers in a 'spolier' so others can't see them.
I'll post the answers late on Sunday![]()
No cheating now![]()
If there's any interest, I'll do another pop related quiz next week.

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
Not too disappointed. Of those I passed there was only one I should have known, the Money For Nothing one.
As it mentions drums I would have ignored it. Drums are boring.

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
Might be varying formats on subsequent quizzes :
Name the year of the Number 1.
All the same band, but name the song.
First lines.
etc, etc.
I'll see what takes my fancy

Heardle
Worldle 531 km away....and a fail. Thought that was going to be an open goal for me but I had 6 shots and missed every time! The goal is gaping still for anyone else to tap it in

Worldle , Wordle, Nerdle,
Heardle
Worldle 654 km away....and a fail. Funny how tiny insignificant principalities look the size of Brazil on the "blot"
, 3 on wordle, 5 on nerdle, and heardle...got it in 4 seconds. Again a song with hundreds of millions of views on you tube, from world wide big hitter artists so had a chance.
Regards Neil

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
My best combined score so far on the rdles today with a hatrick of 3's!!
Usual miserable failure on the Heardle though but at least I've heard of him!!:

Worldle,Wordle,Nerdle,Heardle
Worldle 382 km away....and a fail.
Wordle 5,
Nerdle 4
Heardle...a minor enquiry with the full 16 seconds at my disposal, and I picked the right song from the drop-down list, again a popular music big hitter.

Worldle,Wordle,Nerdle,Heardle
Worldle bullseye too...a very characteristic shape for the ink blot
Wordle 4,
Nerdle 4
Heardle...got it again
with 16 seconds and sounds like Evanescence clue. Searched "bands like Evanescence", and at number 10 was the correct band. Put their name into the Heardle search box and a few of their songs came up, second one tried was the right one.
