I Spy a 22-reg

Post by Hell Razor5543 »

Yes, I know I am early, but I saw a location where there are several Toyota 22 reg cars being stored, ready for delivery tomorrow.

Well noticed James, I wasn't even switched on like I usually am, that new reg season was nearly upon us. Its come around pretty quick. :-D

We should maybe move to an unintelligible system like the Isle of Man where the difference between a 28th Feb Registered car and a March 1st Registered car is imperceptible to the general public. Major drawback of course it would scupper our twice yearly number plate spotting month of fun :-D

Passing a Ford garage today there was a blue 22 reg getting handed over. I would guess it was a Fiesta if they are still doing them. :-D

One spot yesterday was a MG5 SW EV in blue on the other side of the A1. Not seen one yet where the shutter could be clicked safely but it's early days :-D

You and I should invest in dashcams.
I'm sure I miss far more than I see. Register other cars but don't look to see what they are, or the registration. Those I do clock are forgotten within a couple of minutes.
A bit of insurance in case of incidents with careless drivers too.

And in my case reversing assistance as the Civic's rear view is atrocious.

Odd you should mention that this morning Steve, I spent a couple of hours last night looking through hundreds of the options available and in the end I am tempted with this one. Anybody know anything about this model perchance? :?:

No, haven't looked at that.
I am contemplating (procrastinating) on something like this one from Amazon although the ones I looked at were more expensive, up to twice the price.

I will take a better look at that one, may be suitable.

Should you fancy the cheaper option Steve, note that you do need to buy a separate 32g micro SD card which is around another £12 for a Sandisk.

Had a look and at the reviews.
Most require the SD cards anyway.

I think am more likely to go for the Wolfbox one.

That looks a nice piece of kit Steve, not for me though because the screen is far too big for my needs. I only want it to record pics and videos for viewing indoors so no need for a big screen. Not to mention I won't spend that much on a removeable item!! :-D

My most pressing reason is the reversing camera, hence the size, also the idiot lines to aid parking, and it remembers locations.
Most places are fine but my son's place is awkward, very little space between cars and rubbish visibility at night.

Haven't been out much lately, but I have finally seen one - a C3 Aircross was stopped outside my 'office' window yesterday.

That's not counting the Tesla that might have been a Y-type, and might have been a 22 had it not been on a cherished number!

I spotted a motorbike on a 22 plate the other day which just flashed past me pootling in the Leaf. No photo.
Haven't seen another car on a 22 since that single Tesla spot in spite of a few large carpark garden centre visits!
