I think the car's an AC Cobra, the people I'm not sure, maybe Pearl Carr and Teddy Johnson
I might be wrong on all counts, not sure about that hinge.
Man is, by nature, a lazy beast, he does not need twice encouraging to do nothing.

Thanks Gibbo, I said a clue with a guess thanks for joining in. Not an AC cobra

This is where the screenshots were taken from. (the event) and the year is particularly relevant to the lady and gentleman in the picture.

He looks like Edmund Hillary, with his wife Louise, in a Jowett R4?

I thought I recognised Sir Edmund, so I did a Google search and found this (which will ask you to do the usual 'cookie' bit);

Spot on James did you find the Pathe Video?

Bit about a R4 recreation here
Before the company folded, plans were drawn up for a Jupiter Mk2. It’s design shared much with the Jupiter R4 but it never entered into production. However in 2008, Jowett enthusiast and restorer Allan Fishburn acquired the drawings for the Mk2 and began building a one off Jupiter Mk2.

No not Italian Mick, not a shred of Italian in it, but a canny bit of American under the bonnet.

When I first saw those lights my thoughts said Corvette but I couldn't find one that matched. I found a similar Mustang but I wasn't convinced and hence wondered if it was a Lancia or Alfa but I ran out of time to investigate - needn't bother now!! :-D So if only to generate the full picture how about a Studebaker? :-D
