It looks like spring is arriving in Reading, despite what three named storms in short order may think!

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Number noticing or familiarity phenomenon, or merely an unbelievable coincidence, or a fully blown FCF spooky, or just randomness.
The FCF faithful have elevated my "likes" total to 1966 this very night, and thanks very much for all of them
.
and the post which brought it up, probably the first time ever in the history of the FCF Ken Wolstenholme's famous commentary on Geoff Hurst's 3rd Goal from July 1966....yes 1966 gets mentioned on the FCF
Regards Neil

A walk to my son's with a parcel. Lovely and calm and sunny.
Just got home and it is chucking it down, again.
South facing. Mine have yet to show their faces, garden faces north.

They were reintroduced in 2004 from the successful breeding population in the Chilterns. A gorgeous bird, and a welcome and regular sight in the Derwent Valley.

Another gorgeous animal a beautiful black fell pony, a breed much loved of the royal family for driving and riding.

One shutter Click today. Nicely illustrates the difference between your eyes perception and the camera perception. The tiny little pimple in the far background ( only a mile or so away) is Warkworth Castle bathed in fading sunlight. Hardly troubles the scorers in the camera's recorded image.

Inspired by Mick's Cruising fraternity/sorority potentially spoilt view on the approach to New York although you would probably need a satellite to get a picture of the wind farms and the Statue of Liberty in the same shot!
