No pictures, but if you watch Bangers and Cash latest episode a couple of dashboards caught my eye.

The beautiful simplicity of the one "clock" dash and the large nearly horizontal wheel of the Thames 400E Van best shot of it right at the end of the programme.

and
The White Vauxhall Astra GTE with the nice coloured dashboard display.

You can watch it on line here

I think many will recognise this interior. Another one of these South African Imports straight to Auction. At least it saves the trip to South Africa to View, hand over cash, hope its above board, organise the shipping, or worse don't go and view and just do the transaction on line based on pictures send money and hope it arrives on a ship, to collect from the port, put it on a trailer, organise the paperwork, and arrive at your front door with your new project.

I think this qualifies on both counts: :-D

Would that be the super luxurious interior of the Renault 25 Baccara by any chance? :-D
If so my neighbour had one and I remember feeling very cosseted when he took me anywhere!! :-D

It is well spotted. Those David and Joanne adverts, especially the smug David really got on my wick but now I regard them as timeless classics :-D

1965 vintage and a certain attractive simplicity.

I bought one of those Renault 25s at auction, stolen & recovered, the rear window was smashed, they wanted £300 to replace it then I got a call from Autoglass offering to come out and replace it for just £70 which they did, it was green tinted glass which was quite rare at the time.
I sold it to a neighbour and he loved it at first but soon got fed up of it 'talking to him' and sold it on.
Autoglass went broke not long after but has been reborn.
Man is, by nature, a lazy beast, he does not need twice encouraging to do nothing.

LIke a big steering wheel a bit of fake wood and a decent underdash shelf for collecting rubbish, and a cheery bright upholstery. I am surprised its as early as it is this one is E reg 1967.

So I have left the clues in too easy for a headscrathing whatsthisthen? So its here in interesting dashboards and interiors.

Wonder what it is ?
