C4 Headlight Bulb

Unread post by admiral51 »

Hi All
Silly question i guess but not having access to my C4 tonight i have been informed the n/s dipped headlight has blown and it now also has the service light on with check dipped headlight warning i have been informed by the good lady.
So question is what type of bulb do i need, and is it a nice and simple replacement [-o<
Vin is in my sig but motor factors list some very expensive ones going by reg number.

Thanks in advance

H7 55watt , assuming you have halogens

Can't remember it being hard on C4's..
I have various repair handbooks and wiring diagrams for C5 mk1, Xantia, XM, Berlingo and C3 mk1.
I have Lexia/Diagbox (Sweden) and Servicebox/sedre

Hi Colin

It's a basic H7 Halogen bulb, but always replace these in pairs. It's why they are generally sold in twin packs.

Whilst you're at it, you might want to consider upgrading the bulbs to some brighter ones than the stock bulbs.

Have a look at these:

https://www.powerbulbs.com/product/phil ... 50-h7-twin

£28.99 for a Twin pack
Up to 150% brighter than standard halogen
Illuminate up to 70 metres more of the road ahead
Please note, I'm no longer active on the Forum, so won't respond to messages.

Thanks for the replies much appreciated.
However as i start early (4am) i decided to take the C5 this morning, imagine my surprise when turning the lights on to find that it also has a headlight bulb out. #-o #-o
Now i think today was the first day this year i have driven it, i must have a quite word with the usual driver, maybe i will do it over the phone for my own H&S reasons :rofl2:
