What more do you need a clock a speedo and a small number of coloured lights which tell you stuff?

That reminds me very much of my Lancia Beta?

Re: Interiors and Dashboards (interesting and awful!)
It is, IMO, a shame that the car has the beige seats and doorcards. As the carpets and other interior trim are black I would like to see the seats and door cards matching. Then it would be a real temptation!!NewcastleFalcon wrote: ↑19 Dec 2021, 19:14

Arm-rests! But not a head-rest in sight - bit worrying that, these days!
The AP auto box was surprisingly reliable, running as it did on inevitably dirty engine oil.

Mine was a manual but I wonder if they used an AP autobox in that I thought it was Borg-Warner as in the Westminsters, can't remember.

Probably too much here on the AP Autobox from AustinMemories.com, but a decent read for the interested.
Regards Neil
The car in the pic is the Austin 3-Litre, which you probably recognised.

Re: Interiors and Dashboards (interesting and awful!)
That AP box in the Mini and 1100/1300 had really only one failing, it was prone to losing reverse gear due to an O-ring breaking in the reverse clutch, a few pence for the part but a hell of a job labour wise. I did a few.

Re: Interiors and Dashboards (interesting and awful!)
I had just that in an AP box I bought for £10, one day (while on holiday) in Tobermory. (It's what you do on holiday, isn't it?) Fitted it to our 1098cc Mini, and lo - no reverse. Needed a professional overhaul to get it sorted. From then on, trouble-free.
