Lhs earth point

Unread post by picassodad »

Pug 306 2l HDi diesel phase 3 estate 1999/2000.

Please, does anyone know the location of earth point no10 on the passenger side front in the cabin. No9 earth Point on the rhs is close to the bonnet release handle, on the bulkhead but I cannot find no10.

The passenger seat is out and the carpet is peeled back

Thanks

Thanks Husky, I have that diagram but cannot find no10 earth point. Will have another good look today.

If I can't find it I will splice into the thickish earth cable found going to loom connection under the heater blower motor, either side of the connection block.

D door off today to examine the door loom ...

That should work, Earths go to the body so a new point should be ok if spliced nice & tightly, i solder mine then heat shrink aswell, good luck , let me know how you do.

I'll need the VIN of the specific car.

I think he wants the location, which I think is on the left hand inner wing, near the headlamp area, but can't be specific until I have the VIN.

Incidentally, we already have most wiring codes on our Wiki:

Just type it in here, without any spaces. The forum security software will then recognise and protect it so ONLY Forum staff can read it when it is submitted (like this; VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff] ). Please do NOT post photographs of the VIN, as the software cannot protect them.

The brackets are put in by the forum software. Just type the VIN in as it appears on your logbook or plate on the car. Don't confuse 0 with O or 1 with I and remember letters are all in upper case.
