Can’t get 207 bonnet open

Hi guys,

As the title says I can’t get the bonnet open, was having a bit of bother with it before but managed to get the cable out from the lever and pulling it with grips opened it.
Bought a new latch as I thought that was the problem but now I’ve went to fit it and the bonnet won’t open at all, even with pulling the cable with grips.

Is there any other way to get to the catch to free it up so I can replace it?

Stuart I would try removing as much of the front undertray as you have to and trying to spring the lock from under the car. Valium might also help.

I’ll give that a try tomorrow gwest, think I’m in need of the Valium now after today, spent ages on it and it’s still not budging.
I’ll post my address up if anyone fancies sending me some Valium
