I take it you are going for a used one?
There are ESP & non ESP versions, You have to get the same type for starters.
Are there any other markings on the unit like Bosch 8.1 etc?
There are only a few things to program, Tyre size, gearbox type & cant remember what else but if you get one from the same spec of car then its plug & play.

Hello n thanks for the info much appreciated.
Yes looking at used , car as got esp not sure what marking are on unit not taken it off yet,
By same spec do you mean engine size gearbox & esp or is there other things need to match . Assuming i find one off same spec does that mean part numbers don't need to match ? Thanks in advance

There a a couple of paramiters that need to be configured in the ABS ECU. One of them is the correct tyre size of the car, this is so the speedometer works correctly, the other is whether it is a manual or auto gearbox. I cant remember the other one possibly engine type. These can be changed no problem with diagnostics. It just means if you get one from the same spec of car this will already be configured.
There is no guarantee that different part numbers will work OK but that doesn't mean they wont work. Sometimes if you get a new replacement part number from the dealer its not the same part number as the original.
The main thing is if your car has ESP you must get one from another ESP model. ideally from the same year of car too.

Just remembered as you have an ESP model you will need decent diagnostics anyway as you will need to re calibrate the steering angle sensor.

You need to check part numbers against your old one for any replacement.

Yes, but will still need calibrating and checking the other configuration options are set correctly for your vehicle.

By this, I mean Engine Type, (you'll need the engine code)
Bodywork Type (Picasso II, Family Picasso II or Estate Picasso II)
Tyre Size Fitted
Gearbox Variant
Electronic Architecture (Left / Right hand drive and with or without pneumatic rear suspension)
