Transmission End Cover - Citroen C15 600D
Evening, I am new to the forum. I am currently bringing a C15 back from the dead, I am struggling with parts. I am currently looking for a transmission end cover, mine is badly rusted. Torn between removing the rust and priming and painting or replacing, can anyone suggest somewhere I can get hold of a new one. I am definitely a learner when it comes to renovation but this has been something I have wanted to do for a long time and I am passionate about Citroen and keeping cars on the road from a sustainability perspective. Any advice is appreciated. Cheers, Olly

Hi and welcome.
There are still some parts available from Citroen for the C15 depending on exactly what part it is.

If it is not leaking, it is probably ok to clean it and apply a rust protection paint. It is not going to start leaking once the rust is sealed.

Yes, clean it up and protect with paint. They are not known to rust through, and are well protected on the inside surface by the transmission oil.
