Citroen Dispatch Air Suspension

Post by marcsdispatch »

Hi can anyone help, I've got an 08 Citroen Dispatch 2.0 LWB, it's had an air suspension warning light on for months now but suspension has worked fine, ride height etc all correct, pump comes on every now and again but only for very short periods etc.

Today it has decided to jack the rear suspension right up? The manual button in the rear doesn't seem to do anything I do hear a beep from the cab but presume that the air suspension fault light coming on again.

Is there anyway to manually reset the suspension?

Thanks in advance

Hi, no, there's no 'reset'. It needs Diagbox or Lexia on it to get the fault codes out first of all, as it may be the height correctors on the rear axle that are shot. If you can get the fault codes it will help and save a lot of guess work.

Just be warned not to go underneath the vehicle unless independently supported if you are having pneumatic suspension problems - as if the system is fault - especially the height corrector, it may cause the vehicle to drop like a lead balloon and crush you. I say this just in case you were thinking about checking or lubricating the height correctors.

Is an Hydractive suspension an option on C Dispatch models in UK???? I have never heard for this in our region. I would love to find one to replace my old C5X7!

It's not Hydractive Gregor, just air cushions (bags) and a compressor that is used for some commercial vehicles and C4 Picassos - but only for the rear - not the front which has standard struts and springs.
