Switching the lds pump on c5 2004 estate

Hello people, i don't really know if i have a problem now but i switched my pump because i had problem with the height sensors. So i changed the pump with the same but from sedan car and it has one aditional drainage hose which can be seen on the picture below. So the question is should i need to modify the lds can or just to isolate it like the original was. (it was originally without that hose) I'll appreciate if you let me know if it is a problem. Thank you!
