Trying to help a lad out with his Citroen Jumper (did think it was a Pug Boxer / parts request thread). Brakes done so that leaves the seat belt MIL. Scanned it in Lexia due to the age of the vehicle, noted the faults, deleted then re-scanned. Came back with:
Perm Fault - RH Seat belt module 1 igniter value too high
Int Fault - RH S/B Module 1 igniter open circuit
Checked under the seat and (as previously mentioned in the other thread) saw the yellow 2 pin connecter not connected to anything, then saw a white connecter, plugged them together, re-scanned and the second fault disappeared.
So this leaves the just the Perm Fault. If I've read up correctly this can be solved by bridging the 2 wires on the yellow connecter?
I would like to know what the 'igniter value too high means' and whether the bridge would work. I've also read that a resistor can be used when bridging?
Any advice at all would be gratefully received as the lad has just had to chuck 2500 at his car because the gearbox needed changing.
Cheers

Re: seat belt error code
I highly doubt that would work, this would log a short circuit on the wiring fault & put the light on. It would need to bridged with a resistor. I believe they are around 2.5 to 5 ohms.
The igniter value too high means the ECU is seeing the incorrect resistance on the circuit.
