To be pedantic, but also to add to "you couldn't make it up" bit, according to Google's EV maps, Gleneagles ( a major venue and sports provider ) has 1 tesla Destination station and two EV points. For the number of people who could normally visit!!!!!!! How long has Gleneagles had to plan for this?

The Scotsman reckons any generators will be fueled by recycled waste vegetable oil :-D

Still as I said on another thread they will be swanning around in Jaguar I-Paces too, a showcase for Austrian Manufacturing. If they wanted something produced by Uk car factories they would have gone with BMW Minis or Nissan Leafs.

If they are using a fleet of Teslas too, more likely than not some will have come from Tesla Shanghai, a fine example of exporting emissions by importing cars.

Interesting that a spokesman for Gleneagles has said there are no generators at Gleneagles and they were not aware of any plans for any. The Scotsman also reported that the diesel generators destined for Cop 26 are all to be run on Hydrogenated Recycled Cooking Oil.

Reading further, I gleaned the statement that the vehicle fleet for Cop 26 had in fact been seconded from other fleets around the country from various Departments and Organisations. I wonder how many of them were actually added to these fleets on the back of planning for Cop 26?
