Hi, new to the forum and looking for some help please.
The van is a Citroen Berlingo 2009 (2008-2012) model with 98,000 miles.
The clutch biting point has always been a bit high for my liking, slightly after the mid point on the pedal, it has always been like this since owning 2 years ago (not got worse or better). Also sometimes its resistant to get into 1st gear (requiring slightly more force).
I know it has a self-adjusting clutch cable which leads to my next question...
My query is would replacing the clutch cable lower the biting point and help with smoother gear changes?
I am leaning towards that the clutch itself could be worn but just wondering if a new cable would be worth a go.
Thanks for any advice

Re: Berlingo Clutch Cable
Hi and welcome. Ask the experts if the self adjuster can be reset. Might work. I used to do it on Fords occasionally. cheers

Re: Berlingo Clutch Cable
I was able to reset the auto adjuster for an X reg Xantia. I don't know if it would work on such a new vehicle, but here is how I did it;

Thanks wheeler for the info
I guess at 100k miles a new clutch and slave cylinder would be a normal occurrence.
Cheers for the help and info
