Xantia lift pump

Post by cxbleu »

My 2000 HDi 90 Estate's lift pump has gone. None at GSF. Does anyone have a recommended supplier please? I'm assuming that this is not the same as what some refer to as a fuel pump?

All assistance gratefully received!

A quick Google search for 'Xantia HDI lift pump' gives several options from £80ish downwards. Some from Euro Car Parts to eBay sellers.
If it's only the pump that has gone you can replace that for £20ish ( Magnetti Marelli on eBay) and retain the original fuel gauge sender mechanism.

Happy spannering...

p.s. Do check the fuel filter bowl for evidence of fine brass filings. If they get into the high pressure pump the result will be severe wallet damage :(

I believe you are looking for the in tank lift pump.
I had to replace mine on my old Xantia 2000 2.0 HDi 90 bhp and having done a quick look back i think the OEM part number you need to look for is 1607401780.
Put that into Google search and it comes up with quite a few, i would ignore any second hand ones but cannot find the company i got mine from.

Euro Car Parts have the Bosch unit @ £83 but there is also This fastest delivery for the 5th is going to cost you £72
