Spot on James, it was the laptop moving on the passenger seat following bumps and corners!! Have 50 previously undeclared points!! :-D

Tin lid reflection? It looks very much like light projected or reflected on that surface.

I did consider a dry patch where an object has been removed from an horizontal surface after rain but you just scotched that one.
